What makes you different than other photographers?

When you hire Portraits Couture you are not just getting a photographer and an assistant, you are getting two highly skilled photographers that take the time to get to know their clients. We not only capture the events of the day but we strive to capture the love and emotion in everyone. We will work with you to learn about your style and personality so that you get unique images that are truly you. Both Tori & Melissa have been through the wedding process and understand how overwhelming it can all be. We are here for you not only as your photographers but as your friend. You are always welcome to ask for advice, ideas or suggestions even if they don’t pertain to photography.

We want you to find the perfect photographer for your wedding day. Your photographer will spend the most important day of your life by your side and it is important that you have a connection with them, know them and trust them to document such a special day. Whether you choose to work with us or someone else, make sure you feel that connection with your photographer.  

Will you hold my date?

If you are interested in booking us for your wedding please call or email us to set up a consultation. Once we have a booked consultation we will hold your date until the meeting so no one else can hire us before you have had a chance to sit down and chat. After the consultation we require a deposit to secure us as your wedding photographers.

How much is the deposit and when do I pay the balance?

If your wedding is less than 9 months away we require a 50% deposit of the balance due when signing the contact. If your wedding is more than 9 months away we can split up the total cost into 4 equal payments of 25% of the balance. The first payment is due when signing the contact and the following 2 payments will be calculated based on how many months till your wedding. The final balance is always due on the day of the wedding.

What is your cancellation policy?

If cancellation occurs then we will keep the deposit which, depending on when you booked, would be 25% or 50% of the total balance. If any payments besides the deposit have been made you will receive a refund for that amount. If we have already provided photography services or products, like an engagement session or prints, we will deduct the cost from your refund.

If a wedding is canceled less than 60 days prior to the event you will forfeit all payments made and the deposit.

What if my wedding was postponed?

In the case of postponement we will be happy to transfer any deposits or payments made to the new wedding date provided that we are available. If we are unavailable for the new wedding date and you need to cancel your contract please see our cancellation policy above. We strongly recommend, if you are thinking of postponing your wedding, that you talk with us before picking out a new date to determine our availability.

What happens if you can no longer shoot my wedding or become unavailable the day of?

We have a very wide range of professional wedding photographers that would be able to assist one of us in the very unlikely event that one of us would become ill or unable to shoot.

Will you meet before the wedding to discuss the photos we want?

We highly recommend meeting at least 2 weeks before the wedding in person. However, we could also meet over Skype or on the phone if necessary. If you have a Pinterest board or ideas that you would like to share with us please feel free.

I love Black & White images. Will you take any?

Yes! All your high resolution images will all be color and a very large amount will also be converted to black & white, fun color accents, filters and digital techniques. You will always get both the original color image and the creative image so you never have to choose one over the other.

Will you take table shots of my guests at the wedding?

We are your personal paparazzi! Just let us know before the wedding and we'll be happy to take table shots!

When will I get to see my images after the wedding?

On average it takes about 4 weeks for you to see the images. This can vary depending on the size of the event and subsequently the number of images taken. We take our time editing your wedding images to make sure that each photo looks beautiful so a larger wedding may take an extra week or so whereas a smaller wedding may be done in 3 weeks.

How many images will I receive?

We do not have a specific number of images that we will present. After the wedding we will look at every image taken and keep all of the good images to edit. The final number of images will vary based on the size of the wedding and length of the day. On average our clients receive 1000 images.

I want a package with an album. How long does the album take to get?

The album process will begin once you receive all of your images. We will send you a personal site to pick out your images for the album. You may take as long as you need to pick out the photos. Once you have picked out the images the design will take 2 weeks to complete. After you have approved the design we will send it to production and you will receive your album in about 1 month.

How long will the images be online?

Once the images are online, they will never leave! You can access your images anywhere there is internet!
